Currently the Director General of Treasury at Ministry of Finance, Mr. Mehmood has almost six years of professional and academic experience in providing professional advice regarding foreign policies, and conducting and evaluating program activities regarding international cooperation. He is an exceptionally seasoned and a professional Finance lecturer with stellar teaching and academic service record with strong communication skills at explaining variety of complex financial theories and practices. Accessible to professional and non-professional audiences, he is also adept at identifying and nurturing exceptional student talent at both graduate and undergraduate levels.
Holds Ph.D. in Islamic Banking & Finance (in progress) from Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU) as well as MS. (M-Phil) in Islamic Banking & Finance Islamic International University of Islamabad (IIUI) – Islamabad, Pakistan, Bachelor in Islamic Banking & Finance Islamic International University of Islamabad (IIUI) – Islamabad, Pakistan He served various employers as a CEO (Chief Executive Officer), CIBO (Chief Islamic Banking Officer), and Dy. CIBO (Chief Islamic Banking Officer) for many years in the manner of Bank-e-Millie Afghan, Ghazanfar Bank, and Maiwand Bank. Mr. Bijan is a senior banking executive and advisor with more than 16 years of experience in the MSME sector development and 8 years of executive management experience in regulated and non-regulated financial institutions in Latin America, MENA region, East Africa and Eurasia regions.In addition to his wide-ranging experience and executive knowledge Bijan has completed numerous specialized training programs including, most recently, the American Bankers Association´s Stonier Program at The Wharton Business School, University of Pennsylvania.
